On 22-23 November 2021, a meeting to introduce TÜGİP and its Pilot Processing Facilities took place at the TÜBİTAK MAM Gebze campus, attended by 22 representatives of 14 SMEs from 12 Level II Regions – 9 provinces together with Giresun Commodity Exchange and Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At the event, TÜGİP, which was established under the leadership of TÜBİTAK MAM Food Institute, as a platform that covers all stakeholders, based on the needs of our country’s food and beverage industry, and the services it will provide were explained. The “Food Innovation Center”, which includes 9 Pilot Processing Facilities and Advanced Food Safety Laboratory, where new product and process development studies can be carried out in many different product groups, was introduced in detail.

In the company meetings that lasted for two days, R&D-oriented cooperation potential meetings were held, as well as the explanation of the competencies of the Food Institute. Controlling counterfeiting and adulteration in food, changing consumer trends, and transforming traditional foods into value-added products were the prominent issues.
