Ready to Eat Meals: Convenience, Speed, and Portability

As the urban life is getting busier, more and more people are seeking convenient meals options. The ready to eat food products, also called convenience food, are fully or partially cooked when packed and ready to eat with minimum preparation or non at all. The increasing demand for tasty and healthy shelf-ready, packaged foods leads companies to offer a wide range of options. 

Ready-to-eat meal processing line enables;

  • To develop pasteurized and sterilized different fruit and vegetable, meat, legume and cereal based ready to eat meals in retort pouches.
  • To develop long shelf life food products making possible long distance marketing and export for multinational and traditional Turkish food recipes. 
  • To prevent  food spoilage and food waste due to transportation problems, and to create value added foods by using the state-of-the-art food processing Technologies.
  • To optimize process parameters, carry out product development and sensory analysis, determine heat sterilization parameters and shelf life with the consultancy and know-how of TÜBİTAK experts. 
  • Manufacturers can also easily test and & evaluate their R&D outputs and products at the Advanced Food Safety Lab, located at the same facility.  

User-Friendly & Advanced Packaging  

Ready meals have to be easy to prepare & appetizing. The packaging plays a vital role in consumer buying decisions, food quality & safety. So, it has to store the foods for a long time, should be easily opened and should give convincing information regarding content.  

The advanced line enables ready to eat foods to be packaged with triple layer foil/plastic (PE/Al/PP) retort pouches and heat processed in autoclave for prolonged shelf life.
